Tonight Jon and I went out with our neighbor to go night fishing. We went to one pond and did not catch anything. We tried another pond by our house and I caught this HUGE bass fish!!!! This is the biggest bass I have ever caught! (Sorry the photos might not be the best since I only brought my iphone with me...)

Here is the Cinnamon Bread that I made today. I found this recipe on The Pioneer Woman's Website. Jon almost ate the whole loaf! Now I am on batch number 2. This is the first successful bread that I have made. How I think that some of these slices are going to be made into french toast tomorrow morning! Here is the Web address just in case anyone wants to make this yummy bread. Happy Baking!

Well last night Jon and I were in the garage and saw a yellow garden spider that was on the wall. It was the biggest spider that I have seen in my whole life. I was screaming like usual, Jon was trying to kill it with break cleaner (since everything dies on impact with it.) Took awhile for the yellow garden spider to die but I felt safer I guess that it was killed. Just hope that there are no more in our garage...
Over the weekend we had to pick up our trailer in order to tow Steve's '57. It hardly fit on the trailer but it was just long enough. Here are the photos from Sunday:

This weekend Jon's brother and cousin came down to see us. They were also headed to Jalopy Fest in Morris, IL. ( A car show). It was a great weekend. Here are some of the photos that I took while they were here:

Jon and I had an eventfully weekend. We had a bonfire, went fishing, hung out with friends, saw the family and got some house chores done as well. Wish we had one more day off but back to the daily grind tomorrow. Here are some of the photos I took this weekend. I hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend!

This morning I had to take the boys to visit the vet for a routine check up. They said everything looked good and they were healthy pups. They had to get blood taken to check for heartworm. Hank did great and was running around the room. But after Shooter got his blood taken he was showing off his bandage and limping around. I was laughing. He thought that he would get another treat out of it. Silly puppies.
Last night was a relaxing night. Made homemade cheese pizza and watched a movie. The weather was very windy last night. I think that it was 20-30mpr. Once the sun was setting I saw that the sky looked like cotton candy. As you can see below the pergola canopy is flying around. Like I said it was pretty windy here last night... only thing I hate about the wind is that I think that EVERYTHING is going to blow away. I never had to deal with this up north but then again up north had mature trees verses no trees down here.
Well my garden has taken a turn for the worse. The only veggies that we still have in the garden are potatoes (that I already took 4 small potatoes out already), Watermelons, green beans and green peppers. I have to end up taking the cucumber and tomato plant out. The cucumber plant was taking over the whole garden and the tomato plant was too top heavy and kept falling down. Jon and I tried to help the tomato plant by trimming some of the branches to make it less top heavy and when we looked at it the next day it was on the ground again. I picked most of the tomatoes that were ripe but next year we will only plant 2 tomato plants or even 1 so that we can actually use them...

This evening we had a great lightening show. I caught the end of it but some of the photos turned out pretty well... I was never great with low light so I had to change the coloring a little to get what I had really seen this evening.
