Well our new trash and recycling bins have arrived. Actually we got them last Friday but today was garbage day so I thought this picture would be great. We now have two 96 gallon carts for garbage. I have no clue how these things are going to fit inside our garage with all the things we have in there. I thought it was already tight with my car in there. Not anymore its now to the point we can hardly move around in garage without running into these huge carts. It's a good idea. I started to recycle more and now we hardly have any garbage but still these things are too big. Might have to opt and get the smaller ones.

Today Jon and I went to see his Uncle's puppies. There are two girls left and they are the sweetest things in the world! I loved seeing them this afternoon. Wish Jon and I could take one but I think that two beagles are enough and do not need a third one...

This little girl is so sweet. She is mostly white but has a little lemon/ light brown coming in now. I think I held her all day! I thought this was a cute photo of her sleeping. Not sure how she could breath with her nose in the couch but she managed.

I love this one. The coloring is perfect on her. She reminded me a lot of Shooter and how calm she was and just would lay in your arms all day if possible. She kept licking my nose and trying to bite it too! They are only 4 weeks old and remind me so much of the boys when they were little. I love puppies!

Jon is had a great Uncle! He has really taught me tons of how to live off the land and how to respect nature and it's animals. Even though we hunt he has always taught us that we need to eat the animal or use it in someway. I never grew up in a family that hunted but this has opened my eyes into a whole new world. I love living off the land as much as Jon and I can. Jon's Uncle was so nice and actually gave Jon his Bow to hunt with. It means a lot to Jon and I that he did that. I hope this opens up a whole new season for Jon to hunt and have the guidance from his Uncle to help him use this Bow to the fullest. Thank you Uncle Bill! We love you!

Tonight we had one of our good friends come out for the weekend. We had a blast catching up on everything. Shooter and Hank were excited since their friend Ohno was coming to play with them as well. He's such a cutie!

Jon at one point dumped out ALL of the boys toys so that Ohno could help himself. That ended up taking five minutes the next day cleaning them all up! Oh well. It was a great weekend with them! Cannot wait to go on our fishing trip with them later this year!

Last night Jon and I went out with some of our friends to a country bar called Saddle up Saloon. We have not been to a country bar in a long time since we moved an hour away from our home town. This place was crowded and reminded Jon and I of another country bar that we use to go to. We got our friends to go line dancing with us which was the best. I think that we will definitely have to go to this place again. Thanks guys for going with us!

Today went by pretty slow at work today. But at least I got a lot done. I came home to find Jon working in the garage on the motorcycle again. I think that he is almost finished with it.  Last night I had pulled out a meal that my lovely sister-in-law made for Jon and I to thaw. We ended up having Chicken Corn Casserole. It was tasty. I think that was my saving grace since this week I have not been able to cook anything. So at least we had a nice tasty meal. I do not have to worry about tomorrow's meal since we will be headed to a country bar so that is a plus.

Well I am totally off my game this week with cooking. None of our meals have been great. I was trying to make my own pizza dough tonight and it ended up being a big mess. I think that I used more dishes than I ever have and Now we have a ton of cleaning to do. I am really giving up this week and Not going to do this pantry and freezer cooking again. I think that I am better off just picking a recipe and following it. Maybe tomorrow will be better. I am crossing my fingers. We ended up making frozen chicken patties with some noodles on the side. Yummy! Wish me luck tomorrow!

Today was a busy one at work for me. At least it made the day fly by! Jon and I had Mini Burgers with Baked beans for dinner tonight. I used the rolls that I made over the weekend. I think that they look a lot better than the tasted. I was not a fan of my cooking tonight. I could have done better. Oh well. Another bad meal down the tummy! Hopefully I can figure something out for tomorrow that is a lot better. This is really hard just cooking with what you have on hand. I thought that I had a lot more things in the freezer or pantry than I really do have.

For my snack at work right now I am eating chips and salsa. Well today I finally ran out of chips so I thought that I would make my own chips. Here is the recipe I used to make Baked Tortilla Chips. They turned out pretty good. I cannot wait to try them with salsa now. Jon thought they were crunchy not sure if that is a good or bad thing... He is out in the garage working on another motorcycle since we got the tubing this afternoon in the mail. Looks like we both will be occupied for the rest of the week.

Tonight Jon and I had BLT's with French Fries for dinner. Original I know but it was what came to mind this morning when I was trying to think of something that we had that I could make a meal out of. Still BLT's are good wish I had a tomato to put on the sandwich but we didn't. Oh well. Right now I am trying to load my second photography on my Esty shop. I think that I might just do one more and join hubby downstairs to watch the DVR of our shows that we missed last night. Happy Monday everyone only 4 more days until the weekend! Yeah!

February Daily: 20

Here I am a day behind again! Man I just can't get a break. Oh well. Jon and I headed up north to see the family. I went to my mom's while Jon went to see his dad. The boys were excited to see Grandma like usual. They love her house since my mom's house has windows that go all the way to the floor and they can just sit there and look out. Grandma also has wildlife like chipmunks, squirrels, bunnies and geese that they can watch.

While at my mom's she made me some Bacon and Baked Potato soup that I had made a couple weeks earlier. It was really good! After lunch my mom helped me set up my own Esty shop online. My mom has had one for awhile so I was asking questions about the site and then I decided to just open my own. Pretty nerve racking but I think that if I really want to sell my photos that this would be the best place to do it at. We will see how it goes.

When Jon and I got home I ended up making Meatball and Spaghetti for dinner. Only thing was that I did not have enough spaghetti sauce and I did not have enough spaghetti noodles. So I opted in making a Meatball and Alfredo meal. It wasn't bad. Different but still tasty. This week I am concentrating on Pantry and Freezer cooking. No going to the store just using what is in the house. This should be interesting.

I got up early this morning to start the Corned Beef that we are making for Jon's Dad. We thought that would be a nice surprise for him. I was able to clean most of the kitchen so that it was spotless except the stove. I always dread cleaning it for some reason. I had an appointment at 12:30 to try on my bridesmaid dress at David's Bridal for my girlfriend's wedding. I went to the place only to find out that the appointment was for 2:30 not 12:30. I was a little upset but nothing I could do...

I wanted to try and make some Yeast Rolls this afternoon. So I got the mix all ready before I had to head back to David's Bridal. I do not think that they turned out how they were suppose to since I followed the recipe to a T and the dough was really really sticky. I ended up putting more flour than the recipe called for and they ended up too dense I think.

Oh well. They tasted better with some butter on them. I think that I will have to try another recipe and try again. Tonight we took the boys for a walk They were so happy that they were able to be outside. Only thing is they were outside all day when I was home. Silly boys.

We went for about a half hour walk. Thinking that it was warmer than it was we were freezing by the time we got back home. At least the boys had fun. I think that Jon and I will have to walk them more often once it gets warm out again. I did a little more cleaning once I got back form the store and finished up right when Jon got home. Well better finish dinner so Jon is not starving!

TGIF! I am so happy that it is Friday night! Tonight Jon and I had Beef and Cheese Foldover's. I think that it was good not great but good. I ended up having to make my own All Purpose Baking Mix since I did not have any in our house. That was a pain. It ended up cooking nicely. I think I thought it was be more brown/golden on the top but oh well. I think that the sour cream help tie it all together.

Tonight is a lazy night. Just watching TV. I was hoping that Jon and I would be able to have a fire tonight in the backyard but I think that our Dinner took a little longer that I thought it would so I guess maybe tomorrow well if it's nice out. The boys are downstairs watching TV. Shooter and Hank saw a bunny in the front yard so they are freaking out and want to run all over the neighborhood trying to get it. Silly pups! Well off to clean up and pay some bills. Oh joy! Love pay days. Happy Friday everyone.

Today was another busy one at work. Which helped since the day flew day. Jon was off of work today and I asked him to re-chalk everything in the bathrooms. I guess that was a whole day project for him. He did a really good job. For dinner tonight we had Cheesy Beef Enchiladas. The recipe called for flour tortiallas but the only ones I had were corn. I realize why I do not like corn tortillas at all. They are always breaking as you can see from the photo above.
This is what it looked like. It was yummy! I was playing with my light meter that I just found and I wanted to start shooting all in manual. Trying to become a better a photographer and stop using auto all the time. This is one goal for this year. I think I have too many but that's ok. Time to watch TV with the boys! The weekend is almost here! Yeah!

Today was a pretty busy day. My Co-Worker returned to work after maternity leave. It was great to have her back and to have her working on her area again. For the last three months I have been helping my boss out with making everything was taken care of each week. After getting home tonight Jon and I cooked Pork Chop Stuffing Bake. This is one of Jon's favorites. This is an easy one.

Here is the finished product. It looks yummy! We went to our neighbor's house to play some pool. The boys were in the basement while the girls chatted upstairs. We talked about the vegetable gardens and plant beds and what works and doesn't. It was helpful. I know this post is a day late but I was so tired last night that I could not finish up the post and publish it. So here it is a day late.

February Daily: 15

About 2 weeks ago we got hit with really hard winter storm. I think that in Joliet that we received about 18-22 inches of snow. It was fun all of Will county was shut down and it was a snow day for the whole county. It was fun but at the same time wishing that spring or summer was here instead of winter. Over the last two weeks the snow has started to melt slowly. Here is a photo of our backyard with how much snow we got.

Now most of the snow has melted away and I can finally see the patio and grass again. Which means that I need to get out there and clean up after the dogs. Not happy but it has to be done. I think this week we are suppose to have warm weather until Saturday and then it drops back down into the 20's. I really want spring to come so that I can start gardening.

Tonight Jon and I had homemade pizza for dinner. He had someone coming over so that he could check out their truck as a side job. I am writing this post and doing laundry which is needed badly by both of us. I was thinking of my Dad tonight wishing he was still here with me. It's been a rough month for me trying to understand what really happened a month ago. I think about him everyday wishing that this was a bad dream and I'll wake up soon. I know he is here watching over me and guiding me. I miss you Dad and I love you so much! Ok, Well now I think it's time to finish the laundry and spend time with Jon. Happy Tuesday!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!
I hope everyone had a great one. Jon and I made Dinnertime Quesadillas for dinner tonight. They were surprisingly really good. I am usually a just a Cheese person but I thought I would try something new. I loved them!

For dessert I made Jon's favorite. Brownies. My mom had given me a smaller heart shaped cookie cutter that worked out perfect to make these heart-shaped brownies. I think Jon has had two of them already. I give it 2-3 days and the whole pan will be gone. This was my little valentine day gift to him.

Shooter and Hank say Happy Valentine's Day!
It took me while to just get a good photo of them. This never happens. They are usually so well behaved that I can just snap their photos easy. I think it is because most of the snow is melting in the backyard. All they was to do is go "Outside." I think since I have been home since 5:30pm that I have let them out more than 10 times. Well off to spend time with Hubby! Hope everyone had a great night!

Here is the bread that I made my mom for Valentine's Day. I found this recipe on The Pioneer Woman. It is the BEST cinnamon bread that I have ever had. The first time that I made it I made two loaves in one day. I have tried to make it in the past but I think that I am killing the yeast in the warm milk and butter mixture. I had to restart again since the dough did not rise the first time. Oh well. I have had so many problems this week with cooking for some reason. Wait I take that back just baking I am having a hard time with.

Jon and I headed up north today to see family. It was nice to hang out with my mom and figure things out on her computer. I am trying to get her to change her blog to the *NEWER* version of blogger. We will see... When making the Bread I forgot to butter the pan so when I was trying to take it out of the pan at our house before we left it did not want to come out. I ended up just giving my mom the whole pan... While I was over there we figured out how to get the bread out of the pan so that I would be able to take my pan home with me.

Tonight we are having Corned Beef with carrots, potatoes and cabbage. When we walked in the house this evening it smelled like cabbage. I really do not like cabbage and neither does Jon but it adds favor to the recipe so it's ok. I hope this one turns out as well as last nights meal. Crossing my fingers. I hope that everyone had a great weekend! Wish tomorrow was Sunday still instead of Monday! Oh well.

Here are the meals that Jon and I will be having this week. Please let me know if you would like me to email you the recipes. Happy cooking!

This morning I woke up right after Jon left for work at 6:30 am. I wanted to sleep in but I knew that there were a lot of things that I needed to get done today. I started to do a little cleaning around the house. I did not get to do as much as I would have liked but oh well. I used the extra half of loaf of French Bread that I made last week and made some more croutons. I thought that they would look cute in the this mason jar that I had laying around.

For dinner tonight I thought I would try my hand again at the Crock-Pot. For some reason I cannot get it down right. Things never turn out too well in it. So here I am again trying it once again with Beef Stew. So far it smells good. I did change the recipe a little. I put a 1/2 pound of venison stewed meat addition to the beef stewed meat. Hopefully it turned out ok and yummy!

While cooking in the kitchen the boys were laying down on the rug behind me waiting for me to drop anything that they could pick up. All they wanted to do today was go outside since it was warmer than it has been all week outside. They had a blast. I also, am making a special bread for my mom for Valentine's Day but I cannot post what it is since this is already giving it away... I hope I do not burn this one as I did the muffins the other day.
