March Daily: 31

Today was a better day than yesterday. Besides having an allergic reaction to a product I think everything went great today. I had my review at work which was awesome. I was shocked how well it was! Came home to talk to my mom a little before cooking dinner. Jon and I had Marinated Dijon Pork Chops for dinner.

After work I went to our local Target to see if they had this Purex Complete Crystals Softner and they did not. Lucky I have another Target close by that I can go to as well and I was able to pick up this 2.99 product (that was on sale from 3.99) for only .17 cents! I was pretty proud of myself. I made Jon go with me to pick this one up just to show him how cheap it was. A pat on the back for me!

March Daily: 30

At work today they were giving free brow services from Benefit. It was pretty nice to have someone shape my eyebrows since they have needed a good shaping since I do not know what I am doing. I came home to Jon working in the garage on his bike. I missed him the past two days. He was taking care of Uncle Bill's dog while he was out of town.  I told Jon to take a lot of photos of the puppies since I was not able to see them.

My sister-in-law let me borrow her DVD called Super-Couponing by Jill Cataldo. I used to hear her on the radio when I was traveling to work about two years ago. She is the couponing queen. I used to get really into this a couple years back but I stopped. Now I am going into this full force and hopefully this will pay off in the long run. I was able to go to Jewel today and get four filets, noodle, a bag of onions and four Clorox wipes all for $6.24. I was pretty proud of myself. Thank you Jenna for getting me back into couponing!

For dinner tonight Jon and I had Quick-Fix Beef Burrito Skillet. It was good. I was not really hungry but I ate anyways. After dinner I got ALL the boys ready to go for a walk together. I told Jon tonight that I really wanted to take them for a walk everyday. I think that it would help all of us. I figured we could walk a mile a day that is seven miles each week. Not bad. Well time to spend some time with hubby!

March Daily: 29

Here is the meal that I have had for the past 2 days. It is quite yummy and simple. The boys and I went for a walk as well today. I thought that it was going to be hard walking both of then at the same time but I was shocked and both of them behaved. We even saw a lady on our way back home that loves Beagles. It was a quite night and relaxing night.

March Daily: 28

It's MONDAY! The start of a new week. I was telling Jon the other night that I wish that it was Friday again. I love having time to spend with each other. I feel like we accomplish so much when we do it together or at least I feel that way. Tonight once again I was playing around with my table top studio. Man, this is some hard stuff. The boys ended up just sleeping next to me on the floor.

I ended up making pasta tonight for dinner with a salad. It was yummy! I cannot remember the last time that I had buttered noodles for dinner. I think it is the simplest but yet filling meal for some reason. Plus I had a salad as well. I am stuffed. He is another photo that I took in my mini table top studio. Again this is with natural light but I think that I like this look a lot better than studio lights. Maybe it is because I just cannot get the hang of it. I will try again tomorrow.

March Daily: 27

Today was a busy one for Jon and I. Well maybe just me... I ended up waking up around 8:30 this morning thinking of all the things that I needed to get done today since I did not get anything finished yesterday. I did plant my seeds for the vegetable garden this morning and cleaned up a little bit. I was going to make French Toast this morning for breakfast but I ended up using the bread since it was stale for some croutons instead. I love how they look in a Mason Jar.

I ended up trying to figure out how to make my own tabletop studio for photographing my food that I make. I think that Studio lighting is the hardest thing. I have always depended on natural light to take my photographs and now I feel like I am jumping into a whole new area of photography. The photo above is the studio that I made. Not sure how to use it yet but at least I got a great, clean backdrop with the Mason Jar with Croutons in it. I will need some practice at it so that I understand what I am doing with the lights etc.

After Jon was finished with his side job we took the boys to a local Forest Preserve near our house. This was the first time that I had been there and it was pretty nice. We both ended up wearing our hunting boots to make sure that if it was muddy or wet that we would not get our feet soaking again. The boys had fun. Jon was looking for deer antlers while I was busy snapping photos on our hike. It was a great Sunday! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

March Daily: 26

This morning I got early to go with Jon's Uncle to run the pups at a local field near our house. It was really windy out once we got there but it seemed to die down as the morning progressed. It was fun just walking in the woods looking for deer antler and taking photos. The pups did Ok. We came back to the house around 10am. I was exhausted from the morning. I just sat around ALL day. I did not get anything done that I wanted to. Jon and I had left over chili from earlier in the week for dinner. We ended up watching a movie as well last night. It's almost April Yeah!

March Daily: 25

Friday was a busy day for me since I had Thursday off. But the day flew by which was a good thing but I felt like I did not get anything finished that I wanted to at work. Came home and I made Homemade Pizza for dinner. I know not too exciting but it was tasty. Time to watch some TV with Hubby!

March Daily: 24

Today Jon and I both had off. It was nice. We ended up sleeping in a little till 8:30. I know it's not that late but for both of us it is. We ended up  cleaning the house some and get dinner ready for the crock pot. Tonight we are having Slow-Cooker Hearty Beef Chili. Our house smells amazing right now. I cannot wait for dinner! Jon ended up helping our neighbor put in shop lights into his garage this afternoon. We also, went for a long walk with the boys. They had a blast. The trail was flooded but we still went through it anyways. Shooter and Hank had fun playing in the water. Jon found a crayfish that was on the trail far away from the pond. We thought it was strange. We came home to rest and eat chili. It was good. I added corn since the recipe called for it and I think it tasted great with it. I will have to use that more often. Now Jon is in the garage while I write this post. Back to work tomorrow. At least only one more day till the weekend! Yeah!

March Daily: 23

Today was busy for me at work. I had to get a lot done since I am taking tomorrow off. I ended up making a super easy meal for dinner Chicken, Potato and Vegetable Bake. Pretty shocked that it was just five ingredients to make. It was really good. Jon said that the whole house smelled of Zesty Italian dressing. I thought it was funny. We ended up going to our neighbors house to play GT5. It was a blast. We ended up figuring out how to load his music on his PS3 too.

March Daily: 22

I cannot believe that it is almost April. I love that it is 7pm and it is still light outside. It's nice to have Jon home when it is still light out. I feel like we get so much more done that way. I have to end up doing laundry which is really over due but then I will not have to do it this Saturday so that is a plus I guess. Tonight for dinner we had Tortellini Italiano. I ended up using the cooking creme by Philadelphia again but the Italian Cheese and Herb. It was pretty yummy. I did not use any red peppers just green since they are way too expensive at the store. I also added some bacon on top which I think made the dish. Right now Jon is cleaning the dishes from last night and tonight. Tonight should be a relaxing evening!

March Daily: 21

Mondays are already crazy busy at work. Reports, pushing items, etc etc etc. I am really looking forward to my day off this week! I am counting down the days! For dinner tonight I made Foil-Pack Chicken Fajita Dinner. They turned out pretty good and filling. I think next time I will put more peppers in the recipe and maybe corn and beans. I think that would fill us up even more than we are right now! Well time to spend some time with Hubby! I have to get him to clean the dishes first. He he! Don't forget to check out our Weekly Menu. I had a co-worker who had a great idea and have the links right there on that tab. Thank you Mandy for such a great idea!

March Daily: 20

Today Jon, I and the boys went up north to visit the families. It ended up raining most of the day. Shooter freaked out the whole time due to the thunder. I found this that I had planted last year is starting to grow. My mom and I were trying to figure out what kind of plant it is since I ended up getting this from a friend. I think we figured out that it was either Hens and Chicks or a Sedum. Still not sure which one.

We also went and had dinner at Jon's mom's house to celebrate birthdays. It was great to see everyone and had a blast. We ended up watching the Pee Wee Herman Show. It was strange to watch that again. I think that he was on Broadway with this show but I am not sure. It was finny since I use to watch that show when I was younger and now to watch it again when I am older this show makes no sense to me know. Just brought back childhood memories. Hope everyone had a great weekend. I wish it was not over! Oh and Happy first day of Spring. Cannot wait to get in the garden and get my hands dirty.

March Daily: 19

This morning Jon got up early to go hunting with his Uncle. It was such a beautiful day on Saturday. I had the screen doors opened to get fresh air into the house. It was wonderful. I ended up trying to clean the garage and work in the yard. I cleaned up the back yard and even had time to sit down and figure out some of the plants that I already have in my garden. I want to add more plants but I want to make sure I know what I have already.

Jon and his Uncle came back to our house around 3. They ended up getting around 23 birds for Jon and I to eat later this year. They did really well. I was overwhelmed at first but I just kept thinking that this is going to feed our family and that is all that matters to me.

Here is Jon learning the tricks of the trade from Uncle Bill. Like I have stated in other posts he has taught us everything there is to know about living off the land. Thanks Uncle Bill!

March Daily: 18

Today when I came home from work I found out that I have a tiny seed starting to grow. My Forget-me-not annuals are starting to break the surface. I am so excited. I cannot wait to plant these in my garden this year.

Jon and I had Easy Chicken Enchiladas for dinner. They were quite tasty. The recipe called for Philadelphia's Santa Fe Blend Cooking Creme that just came out. I love using these cooking cremes now. I am hooked. Later next week I have another recipe that calls for this cooking creme.

March Daily: 17

Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone! Well I missed out in doing a post yesterday. I was too busy last night. I know it's not an excuse but I just did not have enough time. Jon worked on a side job last night and I ended up cooking in the crock pot Corned Beef with carrots and potatoes. I cooked it a day early since tonight we went our with our neighbors to Chili's for dinner. It was a lot of fun. Then Jon and I cleaned dishes and then took the boys photo in their green bow ties for St. Patrick's Day. Hank did not want to cooperate at all. This was the best photo out of the other 40 that I took.  Silly little man! Well I hope every one had fun celebrating today! Also, Happy Birthday to my best friend Christina! I hope you had a wonderful birthday!

March Daily: 15

For dinner tonight I found a recipe that was for Opened-Faced Hamburger Phillies. They were actually pretty good. Normally I do not put onions on these types of sandwiches but this time I followed the instructions to a T and I ended up really liking them. I do not think that I even noticed them at all. I am getting really excited about the annuals and perennials that I planted on Sunday. I cannot wait to see them sprout.

March Daily: 14

Today was a stressful day at work. I got through it but it was very draining.  It was so nice to come home when the sun was still out and it was actually really warm out today. I believe it was 48 degrees. I loved it. I actually turned off the heat and opened the screen door to let some fresh air in. I cannot wait to do that later in the year. The boys love it as well since they can see everything that is happening in the front and the back yard. Tonight we made Buffalo Chicken Mac. Usually this is way too spicy for me to eat but today it was ok. I normally can only eat a little of the meal since my mouth is on fire.

March Daily: 13

Today was a very productive day. This morning I baked a Cinnamon Braided Bread. I did not try it but it looks yummy. I thought it would be a nice snack that Jon and I could have during the week.

We finally took down our Christmas lights. I know they should have been taken down a LONG time ago but today was the first day that seemed nice to take them down. Jon and I went to Wal-Mart to take a look at the vegetable seeds that we would want to grow this year in the garden. I also, picked out some annuals and perennials to grow this year as well. I started the flowers early by just a week so hopefully I will be able to then grow some more and plant then later in the year.

For dinner tonight we had Cornish Hens with Roasted Vegetables. I used two different recipes to come up with tonight dinner but it turned out awesome.

Here is the finished product. Yummy! I was so full by the time that I actually ate the Cornish Hen. I think this is my first time eating a Cornish Hen and it was pretty good. I likes it since it is mostly all white meat. Not sure if Jon liked it as much since he likes dark meat.

March Daily: 12

Yesterday was a buys day. I cleaned the house, got my dress for a wedding in July, cooked dinner, and gave the boys a bath. We ended up getting a shower head that is a hand held on as well so that I would have an easier time washing the boys. I think that it scared them too much and they were more freaked out than normal. But at least they are nice and clean!

As you can see from the photos Shooter and Hank were not too happy about getting a bath...

Jon ended up having a side job last night as soon as he came home from work. Poor guy but it's an easy way to make some extra cash. He worked on it for a couple of hours. He finished up around 8ish last night.

For dinner I made a Pork Loin with Roasted vegetables. It was tasty. I think this one turned out much better than us cooking the Loin on the grill. Usually it turns out really dry. But by cooking it in the oven it was nice and most.

March Daily: 11

Last night was Jon's Father's birthday. We headed up North to his sister's house for pizza. It was great seeing the whole family together at one time. Normally I am at my mom's house while Jon is at his dad's when we headed up there. It was a nice change of pace.

It was funny since we were talking about my website/blog and trying to explain the whole thing and concept of it his Jon's Dad and Brother. It was funny. They were confused about the whole thing. It was funny! Well off to get the house cleaned and start cooking!

March Daily: 10

Jon Had today off from work. Our neighbor and him went to Jon's shop to work on his car. He got new rims and two new tires. I think that the car looks great! Jon ended up taking this photo of our neighbors car. He did a great job. For dinner tonight we had Idaho Tacos. I used some leftover ground beef that we had from a previous night. Now I will be watching the boys play Grand Theft Auto all night. I think this will make Jon want to buy the game.

March Daily: 9

Again today I stayed at work instead of coming home. The boys did good. Jon ended up coming home earlier than I so not sure what really happened if anything... Today was a gloomy day. The sun did not come out at all. i heard that we might get flurries tonight so hopefully not too bad.

I once again started on a diet to lose about 10 pounds. I know its not a lot but I feel that I need to lose it since I hate the feeling of when my pants are tight. That is usually my signal to lose weight. So here I am again trying Lose It. I lost so far 6 total pounds since I started Lose It. I just need to lose about 10 more and I will be happy. We had leftovers for dinner tonight with a salad. Hopefully I can stay on track this time. I have a month to lose at least half of the weight.

March Daily: 8

Today I did not come home for lunch. The Boys missed me I know but had too much to do at the office to leave. When I got home everything was in it's place. Which is a good thing. Hank did not get into anything! Good Puppy! I made homemade pizza for dinner. It was tasty like usual. I was washing prior dishes and noticed that my herbs are sort of growing. I think this is usually the stage that they get at and they never get bigger. So I will leave them and see what happens.

Jon cleaned the rest of the dishes from dinner and etc. while I worked on this post. I ended up somehow deleting my actions that I use to get these manipulations on my photos and had to re-install them all but at least I was able to get them back. Yeah! Off to watch TV with Hubby.

March Daily: 7

Today was busy at work. Which was good. Made the day fly by. I think that Mondays are always like that since we are reacting to all the sales that happened over the weekend. Many reports to fill in as well. We had the Cheesy Potato Soup that I had made over the weekend tonight. I think that this one turned out so much better in the crock pot than the one I did on the stove. This is definitely one I will be making again.

I made some sugar cookies as well tonight. They look yummy! I will have to have Jon test them first...

And I made croutons again since I was running pretty low on my stash. I love how the house smells after these come out of the oven. Yummy! I will be having these for lunch tomorrow on top of my salad. Well off to figure out once again how to make my photography website look better.

March Daily: 6

Jon and I went up north to see the family. It was fun. This weekend I have re-sized some of my images on Picasa to save some storage space. That was time consuming. I still have about 2-3 other albums that I need to do. It is one photo at a time to adjust the size. I think that this might take me all week to finish. While at my mom's house she made me a mini hamburger and chili. It was tasty!

Jon got his tank back from our friend. It turned out pretty nice. I love the pin-stripping on the tank. The bike is almost all together and ready to ride once Jon gets a new back tire.

Jon's Cousin did the pin-stripping on his new helmet. It turned out great. Here is the side view of the helmet.

Here is what the back looks like. Looks good! Thanks Steve for your pin-stripping! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Tonight all I am doing is trying to figure out how to make a slideshow on my Photography website. So far I have been striking out. Hopefully I will fins something. wish me luck!

March Daily: 5

Last night Jon taught me how to weld. I did pretty well. This is the second time that I have ever welded and I think that I have learned a lot from Jon teaching me. Here is what I welded last night.

Had to take a photo of the teacher and I. Thanks honey for teaching me!

Today I cleaned, went grocery shopping and started dinner in the crock pot. We are having Slow-Cooker Lasagna. I also started another meal that we will have later in the week and that is Slow-Cooker Baked Potato Soup! Yummy! Cannot wait until these are done. Only a half hour more!
