Jon and I have been going to bed pretty early these days. We have been reading our books that we picked up a couple weeks ago. I have been reading The Girl Hunter by Georgia Pellegrini. Here is a little bit of what it is about: What happens when a classically-trained New York chef and fearless omnivore heads out of the city and into the wild to track down the ingredients for her meals? After abandoning Wall Street to embrace her lifelong love of cooking, Georgia Pellegrini comes face to face with her first kill. From honoring that first turkey to realizing that the only way we truly know where our meat comes from is if we hunt it ourselves, Pellegrini embarks on a wild ride into the real world of local, organic, and sustainable food. It is a really interesting book of all of her travels. I really enjoy that she even includes some great recipes that I cannot wait to try. I have been telling Jon all about the different states that she has been to and what she was hunting for. I actually want to travel to other states out west and just hunt the land. See what it truly feels like to live off the land. Check out the book or her blog.
Let see what else happened this past week? I started to work on my blog a little this weekend. I still have more to do but I need to first figure it out. What is your favorite tip or trick for bloggers? I would love to hear from you and what your thoughts are. I changed my blog buttons on the left side. It took me ALL day but I am satisfied with the end results. Just need to clean up a few more things on the other pages. I recently looked back to one of my first posts and I could not believe that I had small photos and hardly any writing. I think back then I wanted this blog to just be for photos. The more and more I thought of it i need to work on my writing skills and thought well it is time to put my words down. I think I have come far. I think I also need to re-read my posts before I publish them... That is for you mom. There has been times that my mom has told me during our daily phone calls that I had made some mistakes. At least she is looking out for me since she knows writing is not my strongest. Thanks mom!
Time to get my daily posts scheduled for the week. Are you ready for the Super Bowl? Let me know what you are planning on doing for the Super Bowl. Jon and I will probably be staying home with mini appetizers all day to snack on. Cannot wait to share with you my recipes that I am planning for the big game. Till next week...
